Since 2020

  • Changed the company name to Hyundai Enercell Co., Ltd.
  • Obtained ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 certifications (SGS)
  • Received a 4.5-star technology rating from Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors
  • Received a 4.0-star quality rating from Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors
  • Received a 4.5-star quality rating from Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors

1990 -

  • Established a technology research center
  • Jointly developed electric vehicle batteries with OVONICS
  • Obtained ISO 9002 certification (KFQ)
  • Obtained UL certification for sealed lead-acid batteries (USA)
  • Obtained KS certification for sealed stationary batteries
  • Obtained ISO 9001 certification (KFQ)
  • Completed the Gyeongju automotive battery plant

1980 -

  • Selected as a supplier to Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) and an original equipment battery supplier
  • Obtained KS certification for automotive batteries
  • Received the USD 10 Million Export Tower Award
  • Completed the Osan plant and established an annual production capacity of 5 million units
